Banana Split Delight SAUCE:
2 cups powdered sugar
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
1 stick of butter
3 / 4 cup dark chocolate chips
Melt in a medium saucepan over medium heat butter, add sugar and stir to mix. Gradually add evaporated milk, stirring. Add the chocolate and stir constantly while cooking for 8 minutes. Cool onat least 45 minutes.
BASE:
2 1 / 2 cups of about 24) biscuits with cream, finely chopped
1 / 2 stick butter
In a large bowl, combine cookie crumbs and butter. Mix well and press lightly on the bottom of an ungreased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
Filling:
3 medium bananas, thinly sliced
1 / 2 liter of vanilla ice cream softened
1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained (use dip banana juice to prevent browning)
Arrange the banana slices on cookieCrumb crust. Spoon half of ice on bananas. Refrigerator remaining ice. half a tablespoon of chocolate sauce over the layer of ice cooled. Freeze up to the set. Spoon remaining ice cream over the chocolate layer. Spoon pineapple ice. Cover and freeze up to the set.
Finish:
Mounted frozen topping, thawed
chopped peanuts or pecans, optional
Sour cherries, optional
To serve, cut in squares and serve on dessert plates.Drizzle remaining sauce over the chocolate squares. Top with whipped topping, nuts and cherries, if desired.
