Oh So Good - Old fashion chocolate wafer dessert

This dessert recipe is sure to impress your family, friends, colleagues, the mother-in-law, etc. They will think you worked really hard, but you and I know differently, and guess what '- I'll never say! And here is a secret between us, may be diabetic friendly, and most would never know the difference. For this diabetic friendly dessert that's all you have to do something. 1) Use sugar-free vanilla wafers. 2) Use sugar-free instant pudding mix. 3) ReplaceBrown sugar with 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons of Splenda Brown Sugar Blend.

PRALINE WAFER DESSERT

This recipe is cut from a magazine advert old Keebler.

45 Keebler Vanilla Wafers
1 / 2 cup flaked coconut
1 / 3 cup chopped pecans
1 / 3 cup brown sugar, packed
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 box of instant vanilla pudding mix
1 1 / 2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream, whipped cream

Place 21 vanilla wafers in bottom of a full 9 inchesZip. Cut a small portion of each remaining vanilla wafers form a straight edge. Place slices cut side toward the edge of the hinge lapping slightly clockwise.

Combine coconut, pecans, brown sugar and butter or margarine in a frying pan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter or margarine is melted. Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture browns lightly (about 5 minutes). The dough on a baking trayAllow to cool. When cool, break the coconut breaks into coarse. Reserve 1 / 2 cup of crumbs and set aside. Sprinkle remaining crumbs on the basis of vanilla wafers.

Prepare pudding with milk as on the package. Fold in the whipped cream. Turn mixture into the pan spread, with attention to the edges of the hard drives. Sprinkle reserved crumbs over the top. Chill 4 hours or overnight. Cut into slices to serve.

Yield: 6 to 8 people.

Note: This is a great first to do "Dessert "for an exciting day because it has to cool down or until overnight.
