This recipe uses a simple angel food cake, you can collect in the bakery department of your favorite store. CHERRY Parson
2 pkgs Dessert Topping Mix
1 cup cold milk
1 cup powdered sugar
1 package (8-oz) cream cheese softened
An angel food cake baking
toasted slivered almonds
Thread cherry
80-10 maraschino cherries come to garnish
Combine the dessert topping and milk in a bowl and mix well. Gradually add the icing sugar onTopping mixture. Beat softened cream cheese to the mixture by adding small amounts at a time. Cut the cake into 3 layers. Place bottom layer on a cake plate and spread a layer of topping mixture. Repeat with the middle layer. Add top layer and spread with topping mixture over to cover sides of cake with remaining dough. Decorate sides of cake with toasted almond slices and cherries. Refrigerator for a few minutes. Garnish the top withmaraschino cherries originated before serving. This makes a very nice sweet guide.
