Grandma's Cinnamon biscuits for breakfast, brunch or dessert

Grandma's cinnamon cookies are a treat good breakfast. you are great for weekends and holidays when the smell of their cooking then linger over a cup of coffee, tea, hot chocolate or even milk taste and appetite. It would be nice for a brunch special, just remember to keep warm until serving time. And what's better, as after dinner, a hot biscuit with a hint of cinnamon. This versatile recipe is definitely a place in your searchhome.

Cinnamon, Grandma's cookies

2 cups flour, sifted
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4.1 tsp baking powder
04:01 cup vegetable oil
04:03 Cup buttermilk
1 stick butter, softened
04:03 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4.1 tsp cardamom
1 cup milk, optional

In a bowl mix the flour, baking powder, salt and baking powder, mix well. Stir in vegetable oil. Add buttermilk and stir until just mixed. Knead the dough on alightly floured work surface until smooth. Divide the dough into a rectangle 8 x 15 inches. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 9 inch round cake pan.

Spread the butter on the dough. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, cardamom and mix well. Sprinkle the mixture with butter. Roll up the rectangle, jelly roll style, starting from one long side. Pinch to seal the seam. Cut the roll into 1/2-inch slices 1. Arrange the slices, the side pieces, in preparationsCake. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and pour the milk over the top, if desired. Serve hot.

Note: You can omit the cardamom, if desired. Cardamom adds a touch of Sweden to deal with this delicious breakfast.
